Macy is a funny girl. Over the summer her new thing to say was, "I don't like it. This tastes bland to me." She's said this about a yogurt Popsicle, macaroon, and pretzels. She also insists that she doesn't like cucumber, peppers, and zucchini, but I'm sure she'd eat them if she could dip them in fry sauce or ketchup!
The other day she asked me for a little snack before breakfast. What did she want? A pickle sandwich and chocolate milk in a glass with a blue straw. I had to ask her what goes on a pickle sandwich. Duh, mom! Turkey, cheese, and pickles on buttered bread. Oh, of course. Coming right up.
One night, Jake made a vegetable omelet for our dinner. The girls had already asked for peanut butter sandwiches, but when they saw what was on our plates they wanted a taste. Jake couldn't resist giving them each a bite of a hot pepper. Seeing the looks on their faces from the spice was pretty funny. It cracked him up so much that he had to do it to Macy again when she asked for another bite. After that she learned to be specific about what she was asking for.
