This weekend we went on a geocaching adventure. Jake just got a new GPS unit and maps, and after resolving some technical difficulties, we were able to load caches on it. After we dropped grammy and grampy off at the airport, we found a string of about ten along a dirt road near 5600 West. It was a very successful trip and a beautiful day (but cold in the wind) to be out. There was a nice bonus of several horse pastures nearby to help keep Kennedy occupied. She also insisted on holding the GPS ("daddy's phone") up to her ear to make some important calls. After her nap, we went to a park near our house and found one more. Then it was time to cheer for the Runnin' Utes in the MWC tourney!
The next day we went to the Jordan River Parkway to find more geocaches. This time we weren't as lucky - we only found one. But it was another nice day reminding us that beautiful spring weather is almost here. We stopped at a playground along the trail and all took turns going down a giant corkscrew slide. Kennedy loved sliding down by herself, and possibly laughed even harder when I went down the slide. It's the kind where you get somewhat stuck near the top but then get going so fast at the bottom that you're practically dumped out on the ground! Good times!
