What's New?

Kennedy has been so sick! We assumed it was some kind of stomach flu because she's been throwing up off and on all week. She calls it "had to spit" and she's been saying that she's "really, really, really, really cold!" It's the only time Kennedy is content to sit in our laps and snuggle. We took her to the doctor on Friday for a second follow-up on her ears...and she still has an ear infection! We're trying round three of antibiotics now. Her doctor thought that maybe the infection was the cause of her other symptoms.

We have made great use of our family zoo pass this year! Sunday Kennedy was feeling better and we met Grampy and Grammy there and had a nice time seeing all the animals. We learned more about the 1 year-old Kangaroo, Foster, from a zoo keeper. When he's full grown, he'll be able to jump six feet (much higher than the fence, as Jake pointed out)! Kennedy got to ride on the buffalo on the carousel and she even saw two friends from her school class. It was good to get her out of the house for some fresh air. Daddy bought her some cool new sunglasses - she chose the ones with alligators. People are always amazed that she will keep her sunglasses on, but she's been wearing them since she was just a few months old!

The Nelsons all came over for a fun take-out dinner of Cafe Rio to celebrate Grandma Sue's birthday. It was so fun to see the kids play together. I think Kennedy enjoyed spending time with her cousins, Eliza (3) and Huck (2), and they enjoyed the opportunity to play with some different toys. The three of them seemed to love crowding into the Dora tent and then tipping it over - there was lots of cute laughter coming from upstairs.
