Sweet and sour

Kennedy said to me the other day when I was helping her in the bathroom, "Mom, I love you on a frosty morning." So sweet, but it must have been at least 70 degrees outside! It sounds like poetry to me, and I had to write it down so that I would remember it. Jake saw the note by the phone, and commented that she never says anything like that to him. I have no doubt, his turn will come.

Macy had her first time out yesterday. Kennedy was sitting in my lap and I was reading her a book. Macy crawled over and started pulling Kennedy's hair and pushing her out of my lap. Apparently Macy thinks that spot is reserved exclusively for her. So after the third time of telling her that this was not acceptable, she was put in the crib until we finished the book. Poor Macy. Her angry sobs were very dramatic. She almost lived up to the name Kennedy sometimes calls her when she gets in the way of her play, "Macy the Monster."
