I remember before Kennedy was born people said to enjoy every minute with a new baby because it goes by so fast. It's so true. It does go by fast and you forget so much - the feeling of holding someone so tiny and how they just melt into your body, the grunts, sighs and other sounds of a little baby, the faces they make when sleeping. These are precious memories and wonderful reminders of Kennedy at this age. I do feel that I'm enjoying things more this second time around. I'm not as worried about everything and I had a much quicker recovery after this birth. It makes me sad to think how fast the time goes, but I'm also excited to watch Macy grow up. And speaking of growing up, there's nothing like having a new baby to make your 2-year-old suddenly look huge and seem so heavy! Kennedy really is a big girl now.
Friday we had an appointment with Dr. Ormsby. Here's how Macy is growing:
Birth: 8.0 pounds and 19.5 inches
1 day: 7 pounds 10 ounces
3 days: 7 pounds 12 ounces
2 weeks: 8 pounds 8 ounces and 21.5 inches
